These models do not run over the Internet but may be downloaded for use on individual computers. Most of the models are optimized for 1280x1024 screen resolution. In Windows, the Appearance setting under the Display control panel must be set for Windows standard size fonts or the fonts on all the models will not display properly.

A licensing agreement with National Instruments (Austin, TX) requires us to restrict downloads for academic use by students and faculty. You may freely use these models for educational purposes if you make proper acknowledgement; please do not sell or redistribute them.

* Mac OS X versions were compiled with LabView v.7.0 and require that the LabView RunTime engine be installed ONCE to use any/all of the OS X versions: download the engine here.

Notes:

• For Windows, use WinZip to unzip '.zip' files (an '.exe' file will be produced).
• For Mac, use BinHex and/or Stuffit Expander to decompress and translate the '.sea.hqx' or '.sit' files (an '.rt' file will be produced).
• Additional information on the Pressure-Volume Loop Model (Davis-Gore AJP, 2001) is here.
• In Windows 95, if you get an error message about "Active X/DCOM 1.1" being needed when you try to run the models at home, you may need to download the following file for your System folder: DCOM (1 Mb).

Corrections:

(2-26-02) For the SYNAPSE model, a problem with the "Pulse Delay" control for Cell B not updating properly has been corrected.

(9-30-02) A new version of the P-V model was posted to fix a problem with unit labels in Windows XP and 2000.
(6-2-04)- a minor change was made to the P-V model, enabling the user to add a delay to the main loop (the control is on the far right edge of the model); this allows the speed to be adjusted (i.e. slowed) on faster computers.
