What to Send Checklist
- Departmental Application (form)
- Transcripts from all colleges attended
- Graduate Record Exam Scores (GRE) (Institution Code 6875, Department Code 0216 )
- Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) Score (for international students)
- 3 Letters of recommendation that assess ability for advanced study, ranking among students at comparable stage in career, written and oral communication skills and personal attributes including integrity, ability to work with others and teaching skills.
- Upon receipt of invitation to interview official transcripts from all colleges attended
- After acceptance into the program Application to the University and Graduate School
Standards, Special Requirements and Financial Support
- All applicants are expected to have excellent grade point averages and GRE scores, and an undergraduate degree with a strong background in life sciences and related areas.
- International applicants must have “Test of English as a Foreign Language” (TOEFL) scores submitted and should consult the Office of International Admissions regarding special requirements for application and admission. Because limited financial support is available through research fellowships evidence of research experience should be provided.
- Financial Support is available for all highly qualified students. These awards provide stipends, tuition waivers and health insurance. No separate applications for these awards are necessary.
